The work is based on the research of April 6th 1917 when United States was undergoing its economic heyday whereas Europe was devastated by the World War I. Disparate situations between US and Europe have been revealed in this work as viewers could interpret the different imagery and hues juxtaposed in the poster with different heights. The shredded portrait of a military officer extracted from a France-based newspaper released on that day—a snippet of the obituary announcing his death in the war—is in contrast with the cropped pin-up girls to emphasize the varied perspectives of a specific event/text/narrative.
